How does Induction cooking (Nuwave PIC) work?

It’s very simply when turned on, the cooper coils inside the PIC GOLD create a magnetic field which attracts to the iron in the bottom of the pan so only the pan gets hot, not the whole kitchen. That is why it heats up so fast and saves money on energy bills.

Can I use my own cookware?

Nowadays, most cookware manufactures have been making induction ready cookware for over 10 years so most cookware will work on the PIC. If they are not compatible then use our PIC Converter plate. Mow you can use any cookware.

How do I know when the NuWave PIC starts working?

Press “Start.” If an “E1” message is not visible on the display, the pan and the food will start to heat instantly. By pressing “Pause/Clear” the heating process will be interrupted. When you press “Start” it will continue cooking.

Wattage Settings?

The wattage output with the PIC FLEX can be change with a simple press of a button. Select 900, 1500, or 2,000 watts in seconds. At 900 watts, you can run on 1kva generator or a modest battery inverter set up 1,000 kilo watts. On 1,500 watts, it will run on a larger generator and 2,000 watts will run on mains power at home or on the go. Now you can use it anywhere.

The cooktop may be plugged into any standard electrical outlet. For those cooking on the road or open water, operation of the NuWave PIC requires 10.83 amps when used on an RV or boat.
